Sharing Their Dreams

This has to be among one of the most inspiring projects that Multilocus has undertaken. The Country Education Foundation of Australia is a rural based not for profit organisation that fosters educational and career opportunities for school leavers in rural Australia.

The Foundation has 17 regional foundations operating in four states and since its inception has assisted over 700 school leavers to start a career or further their studies.

The purpose of the project was to create a communications package that would promote the Country Education Foundation of Australia to prospective sponsors and encourage new towns to set up their own regional foundation.

Researched, written, photographed, designed and produced by Multilocus, Sharing Their Dreams is a full colour 40 page booklet and accompanying Audio CD that tells the Foundation’s story and profiles 5 very enthusiastic young Australians who have been assisted by the Foundation.

Two themes revealed themselves during our early research and interviews. The members of the regional foundations would often refer to the privilege that they felt in ‘sharing’ and being involved in the futures of the youth of their communities. The students would always mention their appreciation of their communities’ support in helping them fulfil their ‘dreams’. Hence the title, Sharing Their Dreams.
