Giving Back
At Multilocus we believe it is important to be involved with and contribute something back into the community.
In 2007 we were introduced to a small group of dedicated volunteers who run the Sailability Rushcutters Bay Yacht Club on Sydney Harbour. Sailability is an organisation, which aims to promote sailing and boating as an activity for people with disabilities. Their motto is “Freedom on the water regardless of ability”.
To help raise awareness of Sailability Rushcutters Bay Yacht Club’s activities we produced, free of charge, a short promotional video that could be used to attract sponsorship and support for the club. When we last spoke to the Commodore, we heard that they had just received a large donation and that the video was a key component in achieving this sponsorship for them. Watch the video.
We have been a supporter of Scouts ACT. In 2002 and then again in 2005 we sponsored and produced two digital photo albums for the Cuboree - a four day camp for cubs that is held every three years. In December 2001 we presented a Queen's Scout Honour board to our local scout group. In 2003 to assist the local scout group to get to the 2004 Jamboree, we employed them to assemble the 3000 Resource Kits that we produced as part of the GeoInsight project.
